Fabio Di Vetro

Like any glassmith worth their frit, Fabio hails from the beautiful Italian penisula. Although the cascading Turinese hills he calls home are more used to stately baroque and finely carved marble than the exquisitite handcrafted glasswork he creates. 

Having called London home for the last two decades, Fabio originally discovered his knack for the wonderful craft of glassmithing during lockdown. The opportunity to channel his creativity into such a uniquely wonderful and time honoured skill has now become a rich passion that he pours his creative devotion into. 

Fabio focus on the skills of frit and fuse allows him to explore a number of themes in his work, but he is particularly drawn to the issue of sustainability in our modern society. With the energy intensive requirements of his chosen medium of fused glass, his home studio employs solar panels to achieve its carbon negative status and provide a little peace of mind for the climate conscious.
